Mark, Jenni and I sincerely apologize if anyone thinks we have posted anything but the truth on our blog.
So we want to leave you with a quote from CDA
"We are so sorry that we at CDA did not do our job and close My Fathers house down years ago"
So please we encourage you to call them yourselves. We feel this would be the only way to lay this matter to rest. Thank you
Blessings

Hi, I have recently learned about the closing of the orphanage and I'm so confused. I spent ten days there on a mission trip about 3 years ago and I'm so concerned. I wonder if you could shed more light on the situation. I'm searching for the truth in this and need to hear both sides of the story.
Those who do not defend the innocent and choose to say nothing are no different from their accusers. With that in mind I feel compelled to bring to light some facts of truth, not opinion. The Kochs have successfully, for 13 years, run My Fathers House under close supervision of the CDA. Many children have been placed with them to be rescued from neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse and mental abuse in their own homes where they most certainly did not belong. The Kochs have gained great support over the years by people like myself who have witnessed the amazing christian work they do to generously provide for those in need not only in the house but also in the surrounding communities. They have sacrificed so much to dedicate themselves to this cause. It was only in their absence and during your brief supervision that the house was closed. I have attached an article from a Jamaican newspaper that truthfully portrays what My Fathers House has done for this community. In the years since the article was written many children have been blessed to be raised by the Kochs and some of the ones mentioned in this article are now grown and living blessed christian lives as a result of their care. Shortly after the article the tax fee refered to was waived, because even the Jamaican authorities recognized the great need for this home and what value it is to the Jamaican people. To accuse the Kochs of anything other than selfless servitude to God through their ministry is just simply wrong. I am just one of a great many people who know whole heartedly of this to be truth.

The above comment is true but the sad thing is that was long ago and something has changed in the Koch household. Jim is in court for beating up a young man that did nothing but pass his house a few times and Jim did not like that. All the children have reported his drinking and abuse. They started out doing good things for God but then $$$ turned into creed & the money that was sent for the children was used by the Kochs to buy expensive sucba gear, etc. etc. I pray for them as when the judgement day arrives they will have to be accountable to Him for the abuse and treatment of those sweet children. They need to face up and fess up about the treatment that went on over the past six years. All the children...past and present have given statements to CDA. Bless them for their courage.
I have taken in to my home two of the girls that Jim put out on the street. They have given statements of the abuse that has gone on in Our Father's House
I rejoice that something is being done by CDA.
So many kids have been damaged...enough is enough !!!!!!
My husband and I stayed at the Koch home last summer. We were there for 7 days. A person can hide abuse and alcoholism for a little while, but 7 days staying with them no breaks except to go to bed is a long time. We never saw any signs of alcohol abuse or any anger of any kind while we were there. In fact my husband witnessed and incident that easily could set an angry man off, but Jim handled it calmly.
Faithful.... you are right, those who don't defend the innocent are no better then their accusers. The
innocent ones here are the children. And someone had to be their advocates.

God is not dead but alive. The Kochs started out good..but their true self kicked in..Jamaicans are not stupid..you can fool them but not for long..ALL the kids both present and past are now speaking of the HIGH level of abuse that went on at My Fathers' House. The kids were afraid to speak..they are free now so they are speaking. The Kochs need to repent but more so to return people's money that they collect on behalf of the kids and used it to spend time in hotels. God will surely deal with them. May God forgive them while they confessed..Free at last, thank God the children are free at last.
I am confused about something. If it is true that all the children have reported abuse to CDA, then why have no criminal charges been put on the Kochs? Is child abuse not considered a crime in Jamaica?
In answer to "concerned" on the above comment....Itis not over yet and YES....there will charges filed soon.
It is not over until the fat lady sings....
Have any charges been filed yet regarding the abuse? If not, why?
