Miami
Well we did it!!! We took the first step on our new journey. 7:00 thursday night we flew out of Bellingham to Seattle, it was so beautiful. Ate dinner at the airport and then our standby flight was boarding at 10:00. We check in and there is 6 seats that might be open, but things could drastically change by the time they leave. So we are right down to the last 5 minutes before they close the door and they have one seat available and waiting for 1 passenger who has already checked in her baggage, but hasn't showed up. Now we are down to 4 min. So they call us over they have our tickets ready just in case this woman doesn't show, so we are standing there just praying we will get on or else we have to wait till the next evening at the same time. 20 seconds the man says, who looks just like Ed Harris. He looks at us and says "there is no reason why this lady is not hear" and gives us this great little look. He earlier had commented on Markies shirt that read Property of Jesus. (He loved it) So then he handed us our tickets and said God Bless. So what can I say, this is the beginning of our journey. :-) I won't say the flight was good, actually it was horrible, only because it was so hot that I was sweating for most of the 6 hour flight. So really didn't get any sleep. But then we get to the hotel at 7:00 AM and are aware of the fact that we can't get into our room until 3:00, but the man says if you pay 25.00 you can get you in early. I jumped on that one because then I could sleep. So all in all everything is GOOD!

Everything always works out
You know we have been trying to sell our house since October, we lowered the price so many times we were loosing our shorts. All this because we felt this is what we were suppose to do. But God wanted us to go through all this, we kept faithful and trusted that he would show us the way. And one day when Markie was home alone to pray and think and pray some more, God gave him the wisdom on what to do. Markie listened and told me, and I listened. So now we can keep the house and still go to Jamaica on time. We said all along that God was going to do it on his time not ours. Well that is what happened and we Thank him for this gift. So one more week and we will be in Haiti, then two weeks after we get back from Haiti, we will be going on the awesome journey to serve our Lord. HOOORAY

Send me Lord Send me
You know how strange it feels to be be going to Jamaica in a month and a half? It feels strange because there is so much unfinished business. Our house is not sold yet, which makes us have no where to move too. Is God trying to tell us not to buy a new house before we go? or are we supposed to rent? Do we rent something big enough for all our stuff? or do we rent a storage? and then how would we pay for the storage? If we rent a place? they would have to take pets, then our girls could live there and have the animals for the year. Making sure all our animals are up to date on there shots, make sure we have enough meds. for us for the first 6 months and lets not forget to have all our own personal items for 6 months as well. We have been packing our house up so when it does sell we will be ready, we have been selling furniture for money to put towards our trip, trying to separate stuff we want to keep and stuff to put in garage sale. Thinking and rethinking about my children, and hoping that I have everything together for them so they will be just fine here. But even with all this going on my faith is still strong. I know God wants us to go, we feel it so strong about going and doing his work. But yesterday I did question all this... I just sat on our porch and prayed and prayed and prayed. Because I almost felt that I was not being Loyal to God for having this question. That is not like me, I can't even remember the last time I questioned God. So you can see why I say this is all so strange. This morning I woke up feeling like I do all the rest of the days, that this will all fall together in Gods time.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser
Last night my church family of Trinity Lutheran Church decorated up Grace Center like a Bistro. It was darling and I loved it. They had many entertainers singing and playing instruments. It was simply amazing. Thank you to each and everyone who made this happen for us and especially Ted Hinds for putting it all together. Next we need to thank everyone who donated to our's and Jenni's journey. Thank you Thank you Thank you, we love you all so much.

Amazing
Thanks to Facebook and a friend from highschool named Doreis Howard, we just received 2 RT airfare tickets. These tickets will take us as far as Florida, then we just need to get from Florida to Jamaica. What a blessing she has been to us. And to think we have not seen each other in years. It just goes to show you that there is so many people out there that believe in what we are doing. Thank you Doreis so much..
Many other people have been generous as well. We haven't named them personally but you know who you are, and we Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Our time to leave is getting closer and closer, and still more to raise. Please if you feel it in your heart, go ahead and click on the donate button.
